Stephanie Garvey, the Manager of Special Events and Marketing at Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club, and members of her staff gathered at the Veiled Prophet Parade Den (VP organization) on Saturday, August 15th, to create art on the exterior of a Metro Bus. VP Maids participated as a community service project, working alongside the Club’s boys and girls. According to Garvey, the VP den provided a perfect space, out of the elements, and grilled a delicious barbeque lunch for all.
Artistic Director for the Veiled Prophet Parade, Bill Griffin, welcomed the kids to this third annual “happening.” The kids work in the same creative space where the floats for the Veiled Prophet Parade (part of the annual “Fair St. Louis”) are designed and built. And everyone seemed delighted with the event and with the results of the work!
